The Salad Sling is an innovative product made of a super-absorbent microfiber material that dries your rinsed vegetables in no time. The efficient salad sling is easy to use, takes up little space and can be used to dry everything from lettuce and vegetables to fruits and berries.
The salad sling is an effective alternative to bulky and hard-to-wash salad slings. You dry the salad by swinging the salad sling over your head for a few seconds. The centrifugal force causes the water droplets to be thrown into the microfiber cloth and the lettuce leaves to dry without being damaged.
The water is absorbed into the superabsorbent microfiber material and the waterproof core in the middle prevents the water from being sprayed around the kitchen. The salad sling is convenient to hang up to dry after use and can also be rolled up so that it takes up little space when stored.
How to use The Salad Sling
Rinse the salad as usual, shake off excess water and place the greens in the middle of the salad sling. Grab the four handles and swing the salad sling around in the air for about 15-30 seconds.
Depending on the amount of lettuce and the size of the lettuce leaves, there may sometimes be a few drops of water left on the leaves. Then you can gently pat a little with the towel handle and dry off any remaining drops from the salad so it's really dry.
Why use a salad sling?
A salad sling helps you to dry rinsed salad quickly and thoroughly. Dressing, oil and vinaigrette adhere much better to dry leaves and when you remove the water, it also means that the salad stays crispy and doesn't soften up from the moisture.
What can I dry in the salad sling?
Lettuce, spinach, arugula, kale and other green leaves. Smaller fruits, berries and all different types of herbs.
How much does the salad sling hold?
You can fit about one head of lettuce or a pre-rinsed bag of mixed salad in the salad bowl. If you can't fit all the salad in, you can toss half on one side, turn the salad sling over and toss the rest using the other side.
Can be washed in a washing machine
The salad sling has an integrated hook and can either be hung up to dry or washed in a washing machine at 60 degrees with similar colours (without fabric softener or bleach). It can be tumble dried at low temperature.

The innovator behind The Salad Sling, Jill Visit, was disappointed that her existing salad sling was difficult to use, difficult to wash and took up far too much space in the cupboard. However, the idea of a soft and washable salad sling started with the revelation that a normal teatowel doesn't work. The water sprayed all over the kitchen and the salad didn't dry properly.
Despite the water and salad all over her kitchen, Jill continued to believe in her idea. Slowly but surely, an effective salad sling began to take shape and after many material tests, prototypes and cowboy swings with the salad sling over her head, The Salad Sling was finally completed. In 2021, Jill Visit participated with The Salad Sling in ABC's Shark Tank.
