- Perfect with sprouts with small seeds
- Fully grown sprouts in 5-10 days
- Includes 2 sprout trays
With these small sprout trays, you can start cultivating your own harvest of sprouts to put in a salad or on a sandwich. These sprout trays are especially good to grow plants with very small seeds, for example, alfalfa, watercress, or broccoli shot. These sprout trays come in a practical 2-pack which means you can grow two different kinds of sprouts at once.
A sprout tray is easy to handle and contains a soil block with many small holes over the top of a water trough. When the seeds start to grow you can see the roots growing out of the bottom of the soil in the water. It is easy to change the water and can even use it to rinse and wet the seeds before planting.
Easy instructions!
Every sprout is handled a little differently. Read the seed packaging to know what to do with each type of seed you want to grow. Some seeds should soak for 12-24 hours before you spread them out on the soil block. Some plants need direct sunlight while others need more shadows in the beginning.
Sprinkle the seeds down onto the soil brick over the water trough and place the entire tray in a warm place: about 20 to 25 ° C degrees . ATTENTION! In the beginning, it is very important that the seeds do not dry out. Spray a little water with a normal flower spray-bottle a few times during the day to keep the seeds moist.
The seeds will soon grow roots that will reach toward the water below. When the roots are wet you no longer need to spray the seeds. Instead, be sure to change out their water every day. Depending on the type of sprout, they should be ready a few days later - most sprouts are ready for harvest within ca 5-10 days.
While the sprouts are growing they are rich in both vitamins and minerals, making them both healthy and very tasty in salads and on sandwiches!
Water trough measurement: 16 cm x 10 cm x 3.5 cm
