The BR 60 insect bite healer from the German brand Beurer is a heating pen that can help relieve itching and swelling of the skin caused by insect bites. With the help of concentrated heat, the healing process can be accelerated, and the chemical-free nature of the treatment allows children from the age of 12, adults and pregnant women to use the heating pen.

At the tip of the heating pen is a quick-heating ceramic plate that you hold against the insect bite. When you activate the pen, the plate heats up to about 50 °C.

The heating pen is easy to use and easy to take with you when you go to places where there are mosquitoes, for example. It's powered by 2 AAA alkaline batteries (included) and is easy to take out of your bag if someone gets stung.

Turn on the heating pen with the sliding switch on the side and choose between two programs. The heating pin switches itself off when the program finishes.

Program 1 is for children and people with sensitive skin. Hold the heating pen against the bite and press the button in the middle once. The blue semicircle indicates that the program has started and the pen heats the bite for three seconds.

Program 2 is for normal use. Hold the heating pen against the bite and press the button in the middle twice. The whole circle now lights up blue when the program has started, and the pen heats the bite for six seconds.

The insect bite healer is most effective if you treat the bite immediately after you're stung or within 60 minutes. In some cases, the pen can also provide relief even after the bite has started itching. The heating pen can be used a maximum of five times per hour in the same area of the body.

The Beurer BR 60 is classified as a medical product. The insect bite healer can have different effects on different people. The pen should not be used by people with diabetes or by those with very sensitive skin. Do not use on acutely or chronically damaged skin.
