Fantastic tiny little pearls that, after a few hours soaking in water, expand into balls of jelly. The beads are used as water and support for bulbs, cut flowers, orchids or house plants. The beads hold moisture so well that you can put the plants among the beads without needing to water your plants as often.
The beads are not toxic, but should not be poured into the sewer through your sink or toilet as it can swell, which is not good for the sewage pipes. Instead, throw old beads into the household garbage. Store in secure containers, away from children and animals. These balls have the same structure as the absorbent materials in nappies. We sell the beads in 10 g portion packs, which gives just under 1.5 litres of finished beads. Pour the beads into a large bowl of water and wait. You will soon see that the beads begin to expand, but they will only be clear after 7-12 hours.
