Sniffer is a fun smelling game for anyone who likes to have fun, challenge their sense of smell and practice smelling. Roll the dice and smell the contents of a bottle - if you guess correctly, you get to keep the bottle. When all the bottles are taken, the person who guesses the most smells wins. The Sniffer game is available in two variants, choose between 14 scents and 24 scents.

The Sniffer fragrance game is available in two variants, choose between a game with 14 bottles and a game with 24 bottles. The pack includes a rule booklet in English and a fragrance fact sheet with the corresponding number under the bottles.

Can you identify the scent?

With the Sniffer, you try to identify the scent in the bottle by using your nose. The bottles contain scents such as apple, chocolate, vanilla, clove, leather and many more. Fragrances have the ability to evoke strong emotions and bring back old memories, places and people. Perhaps you too are thrown back to a place, meeting or memory you had forgotten?

Can be played by one or more players

Sniffer can be played by one or more players. The playing time varies depending on how you choose to play the game. Sniffer can either be played according to the rules, used as smell training or be a fun game to bring out to just discuss smells.

The Sniffer - Rules

The Sniffer is all about guessing which scent is hiding in the bottle. But it's not just the person with the best nose who wins. Because with the help of the dice, the bottles are likely to change hands during the game. You're guaranteed to lose one or all of the bottles at some point, but if you're lucky, you may win more than you need to sniff.

Preparation

Take the bottles out of their packaging, mix them and place them between you. Keep your facts close at hand, decide who should go first and then roll the dice.

Note that it is always an opponent who chooses a bottle for you. And only the player who is going to choose the bottle gets to smell the contents of the bottle.

The Dice

When it's your turn, roll the dice. Depending on the number you roll, follow the instructions below:
1. An opposing player picks out a bottle of your choice to smell. If you guess correctly, you get to keep the bottle.
2. An opponent chooses two bottles of your choice for you to smell. You win as many bottles as you guess correctly.
3. You win a bottle without having to smell it. Congratulations!
4. You can take a bottle of your choice from an opponent and keep it for yourself.
5. You need to stand over your turn.
6. If you don't own any bottles, you need to stand over your turn.
Otherwise, an opponent will choose a bottle of their choice for you. If you guess correctly, you double the number of bottles you already own. If you guess wrong, you lose all your bottles (but no more than you could have won*).
*Example: if there is only one bottle left, you can lose a maximum of one bottle.

If you do not agree

In the Sniffer scent game, there is only one correct answer per bottle. But smells can be perceived differently, so if you disagree, you can discuss until you find an answer that you all agree on.

Winners

Once all the bottles have been distributed, the person who manages to identify the most bottles wins the well-deserved title of "The Nose".
