- Substitutes the Bokashi bran
- Uses an airtight spray bottle
- Two litres of concentrate in a bag-in-box
Bokashi spray is an effective and easy-to-use concentrate of microorganisms that induce and accelerate the process of decomposing your food waste. The Bokashi spray can be used instead of the Bokashi bran and is easily sprayed into your Bokashi bin using the included spray bottle.
The spray bottle holds 300 millilitres and the nozzle ensures a fine mist that distributes the microorganisms in your Bokashi bin. Spray the waste about two to three times for each time you fill the bin. The airtight bag inside the bottle ensures that no odour escapes and that the concentrate lasts up to three weeks, as opposed to a single day in a regular spray bottle.
The concentrate is delivered in a 2-litre bag-in-box and contains liquid Effective Microorganisms (EM-1®). Enzymes, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants arise as the unique mixture ferments. These bioactive substances help decompose the organic material in your food waste and enrich the soil as you plant it.
The Bokashi spray can also be used in your regular compost or to water gardens or ponds that suffer from eutrophication. In that case, the concentrate should be mixed with lukewarm water. The usual dosage is 1:100–1:200 (1–2 dl per 10 litres of water).
Store the Bokashi spray and the concentrate at room temperature or at a temperature below zero. The concentrate should not be placed in direct sunlight or stored at temperatures above 38 degrees Celsius.
Ingredients: Nitrogen and CO² fixing photosynthesis bacteria (Rhodopseudomonas palustris, Rhodospirillum rubrum). Lactic acid bacteria (Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus casei). Yeast (Saccharomyecs cerevisiae).
Mikroferm® is produced in a laboratory and is free from GMO microbes.
