- Gives prolonged soil improvements
- EBC-certified approved ecological cultivation
Placing a little biochar in the base of your Bokashi compost gives an extra boost for cultivating your flowerbeds! This Swedish produced biochar is approved for use in ecological gardening and is made of residues from the Swedish plant kingdom. 3 litre package of Swedish biochar from Skånefrö.
Biochar is an effective and climate-friendly soil improvement method for lawns, flowerbeds, and gardening. Combined with the rich nutrients and microbes present in the leachate in the bottom of your Bokashi compost, biochar gives a prolonged soil improvement for many years in the future.
Biochar is what is left after the organic residues have been heated without an oxygen supply (pyrolysed). The residues in the biochar from Skånefrö comes from Swedish plant kingdom. The process is climate positive, which means that the carbon dioxide that the plants have gathered during their lifetime stays in the biochar. When you plant this biochar, the carbon dioxide stays in the soil instead of being released into the atmosphere.
Bokashi and Biochar
Place some biochar in the bottom of your Bokashi compost. The biochar absorbs moisture and binds the extremely nutrient-rich qualities found in the leachate. Be sure to include the biochar in the ground when you bury the compost in the soil.
The biochar ensures that the nutrients stay in the soil instead of being turned into carbon dioxide. The ability to keep and build up substances gives biochar a natural energy-rich nutrient reserve that lasts for many years.
Using biochar as a soil improvement has been proven effective. Biochar improves soil quality, encourages micro-life in the soil and gives plants a healthy and deep root system. The soil is easily tilled and helps your plants with both nutrition and moisture so they can survive longer, even during drier periods.
About Skånefrö
