This smoker box is an easy way add that lovely smokey flavour to your food when having a barbecue! The smoker box can be used with both charcoal and gas barbecues and easily adds a smokey flavour to whatever you are grilling.
The smoker box works perfectly with pellets or wood chips that have been soaked, but you can also use rosemary, thyme and other spices to add a nice herbal flavour. Just make sure that the fresh herbs are soaked in a bit of water in the smoker box so that they do not burn.
Once you have lit the barbecue and the charcoals are just right, that's when you place the smoker box right onto the charcoal beneath the grill rack (or directly on the the gas grill). Once your pellets, spices or wood chips heat up, they will create a smoke that seeps out of the small holes on the smoker box and flavours your food.
How much the smoke flavours the food depends on how long the food is cooked on the barbecue. To maximize the flavour, keep the lid on the barbecue as much as possible. Over time, the colour of the smoke box will become darker and it will become sooty, which is completely natural.
The smoker box is made of stainless steel and should be hand-washed only.
Wood chips are not included.
