A fantastic cool pack for a variety of uses. Invaluable on hot days. These moisture absorbent cool pouches keep food and drink cold for up to 48 hours and are perfect for cool bags or picnic bags.
The cool pouches are soft and flexible even when frozen. The uniquely designed three layer cool pouches stay cool longer than most other cool packs, ice packs or cooling gels.
The cool packs feature a food safety approved super absorbent polymer powder that can absorb up to 150 times its own weight. This uniquely designed absorbent core surrounded by the cooling pack's two extra layers is the secret to the cooling pouch's success.
The first layer is made of non-woven polyester material that acts as a moisture barrier- letting moisture in but not out. The other surrounding layer is a super isolator made of laminate silver that stops the cold from escaping, so the pack stays cool.
Soak the pouch in water for 10 minutes. Use warm water if possible for maximum absorption and then place the pouch in the freezer. The cool pouch will be ready to use after 12 hours.
The cool pouch can keep already frozen items at a temperature of -5°C for up to 48 hours. In very warm temperatures the pouches thaw more quickly. The water stays in the pouch even when it's thawing, but over time the water will disappear from the pouch.
These multi-use cool packs have eight segments and measure 268 mm x 190 mm. 2-pack cool packs that are non-toxic and approved for food safety by the EFSA.
