- Sturdy wooden handle with a good grip
- Blunt tip minimises damage to the potatoes
- Perfect for growing potatoes in containers
The potato scoop from Burgon & Ball is an excellent garden tool that helps you harvest and pick potatoes from your potato field or container. The scoop is made of stainless steel and has a sturdy handle that allows you to lift the potatoes out of the ground.
The potato scoop is similar to the classic potato fork, but is blunt at the bottom to minimize damage to hidden potatoes you happen to encounter in the soil. The wooden handle gives you a comfortable grip to dig with, and once you have the potatoes in the scoop, you can shake off most of the soil before you put the potatoes in the harvesting bucket.
The potato scoop is very practical when you need to harvest potatoes from a container, such as a potato bucket, raised bed, pot or grow bag. If you have a large potato field where you grow the potatoes in the ground, we recommend first loosening the soil around the plant before harvesting the potatoes with the potato scoop.
The handle is made of FSC certified wood and has a decorative leather cord at the end that you can hang the potato scoop up with. The wide scoop is made of hardened stainless steel which is very resistant to rust.
