- Easy to use
- Removes the claw entirely
- For crab, lobster and crayfish
A crab claw cutter is an excellent tool for seafood buffets, and makes it easy to open crab, lobster and crayfish claws. The sharp teeth on the cutters crush the claws around the meat, which means that you can pull out the tasty claw meat in one whole piece.
Get the meat out with one cut
The crab claw cutter is designed so that you can access the good claw meat with one cut. The shellfish cutter makes an even cut around the claw so that the shell breaks around the meat. The claw meat remains intact and the cut around the claw also enables elegant presentations where you leave the claw meat inside the claw.
How to use the claw cutter
Take the claw and cut it with the claw cutter just below the claw joint. Then, carefully pull the claw apart to access the claw flesh. The crab claw cutter work best on small to medium-sized crabs, lobsters and crayfish with a maximum claw size of about 3-4 cm in diameter.
Solid, stainless steel construction
The claw cutter is made of stainless steel and the resilient, rubberized handle provides a good grip even if you have water or liquid on your hands. The claw cutter also has a bottle opener on the side as well as a practical lock so you can keep it closed in the drawer.
Re-planting of oysters
The American company Toadfish returns a portion of the profits from each product sold to projects that work to preserve the coasts of the United States. In practice, this means that each claw cutter sold results in about 1 square meter of new oyster beds.
Why oysters?
Oysters are a direct contributor to the conservation of marine life. One oyster purifies up to about 190 liters of water every day and creates a coastal landscape in which hundreds of other smaller species can thrive.
