Choose between Zipforce Slim & Zipforce Distance

Zipforce is a smart e-bike kit with a Swedish-developed electric motor that allows you to convert virtually any bike into an e-bike. The detachable electric motor is perfect for when you need a little help on the road and makes it easier for both commuters and those who like to go on bike rides.

Zipforce's new Slim and Distance models are both slightly quieter and a little easier to install than their predecessor, the Zipforce One. In addition, Slim is lighter while Distance has a larger battery capacity that can take you longer on a charge.

How does Zipforce work?

When you step on the pedals, the motor is activated by the wireless pedal sensors. The electric motor's drive wheel rests against the tyre and helps propel the bike forward as long as you keep pedalling.

Simplified assembly

The electric motor mount is adapted to fit most bikes. Some bikes may need more or less modification to enable you to attach the motor. What's new with Slim and Distance, is that the pedal sensors are now wireless. This makes installation a little easier and cuts installation time in half compared to its predecessor, the Zipforce One.

Once you have mounted the bracket, the electric motor is easy to remove and reattach. It's handy for charging the electric motor and also reduces the risk of theft as you can take the motor with you when you're done cycling.

Front or rear wheel mounting?

The electric motor is most easily mounted on the front wheel, as the package holder and mudguard on the rear wheel often get in the way of the mount. However, the bracket can be mounted on the rear wheel. Don't forget to switch to Reverse Mode in the app so that the motor drives in the right direction.

Can the electric motor be used with any tyres?

Zipforce drive wheels work best on smooth tyres suitable for road cycling. However, the electric motor can also be used with patterned tyres as long as the tyre is uniform in the middle.

You can use Zipforce on bikes with studded tyres as long as the studs are ONLY on the side and do not come into contact with the motor's drive wheel.

Classified as an electric bicycle

The motor helps to power the bike up to a maximum speed of 25km/h, which is the maximum allowed speed for electric bikes. The electric motor stops powering the bike at speeds above 25km/h but you can of course pedal faster on your own.

Zipforce App

A good tip is to download the Zipforce mobile app to your phone so that you have access to all settings. Once you have paired the engine via Bluetooth, you can easily make many of the settings directly in the app. For example, you can adjust the assistance level and set the motor to Reverse Mode, which is a must if you install the electric motor on the rear deck. You can also view usage statistics.

The app is available for both Android and iOS users and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play Store.

Should I choose Zipforce Slim or Zipforce Distance as the electric motor for my bike?

If you're not sure which model to choose, here are some facts about each model. Whichever model you choose, this is what's included in the package: the Zipforce electric motor, charger, bike mount, wireless pedaling sensors and manual. Zipforce provides a 1 year warranty.

Zipforce Slim

Slim is the lightest electric motor from Zipforce and weighs only 2 kg. The range on a fully charged battery is between about 20 km and 40 km depending on the assistance level you use. The battery is fully charged in about 2.5 hours with the supplied charger (4A, 25V). ATTENTION! Use only the Zipforce original charger to charge the battery.

Zipforce Distance

Distance has the longest range of all Zipforce models. A fully charged battery will give you between 30 km and 70 km range depending on the assistance level. Perfect for those who have a bit further to go to work or want to go on longer trips. The battery is fully charged in about 4 hours with the supplied charger (4A, 25V). ATTENTION! Use only the Zipforce original charger to charge the battery.
