Bake stained glass window decorative sweet cookies with these cookie cutters. Perfect Christmas decorations. The Christmas design cutters create a hole in the cookie so you can easily hang them in your tree.

Stained glass window cookies have a hole in the middle that you fill with boiled sweets. When you bake the cookies the boiled sweets melt to create a gorgeous window that the Christmas lights can shine through.

You can make stained glass window cakes with different types of hard cake doughs and you can use a range of fillings in the window. If you use crushed boiled sweets, you can try mixing different coloured boiled sweets for the same cookie to create a beautiful mosaic pattern on the window.

Roll out the dough, flour the cutter and cut the cookies. If you're using boiled sweets, crush them in a pestle and mortar or in a plastic bag with a mallet. Put the cookies on a baking tray with baking paper and fill the hole with crushed boiled sweets. Bake until the boiled sweets have melted and the biscuits are golden brown.

While the cookies are in the oven, you can cut out decorations from fondant icing.
When the biscuits have cooled, you can decorate them with icing, chocolate or sweets and add fondant icing designs to create a cool 3D effect.
