This smart fire detector both alarms with a sound and sends a notification to your phone when detecting smoke. With the supplied app you can also try the sound and pause the alarm without having to use the ladder.
When the fire detector is connected to your WiFi it sends notifications through the app as soon as something's happening. That means that even if you're not home, you can quickly find out if something seems off. This gives you the lead to call the neighbours and fire department before getting home yourself.
At home, you can control the fire detector through Bluetooth on your smartphone. With the app you can try the alarm or turn it off if it for example gets triggered by the toaster.
The fire detector itself is in charge of making sure the WiFi connection works as normal and that the battery level is okay. You will get notified in your phone if the WiFi connection breaks or if the battery is starting to run out. The fire detector has an inbuilt battery with a lifespan of 10 years, and lets you know way ahead if the battery level is getting low.
The fire detectors optical sensor warns when it discovers smoke particles in the room. Place the fire detector in the ceiling with 50 cm of free surrounding space. Make sure that the WiFi can reach your chosen place before mounting the fire detector.
