These Wiltshire Stay Sharp knives in high quality stainless steel are sharpened every time they are taken and put back into their sheath. The whetstones in the sheath continually sharpen the knife, making it ready to be used whenever you need it.
The knife comes in three different models:
Utility knife with a shorter blade that easily cuts vegetables, fruit and other food.
Slicing knife (trancher knife) with a long, thin blade which is best used for more precise cutting and slicing of ham, roast beef and other meat.
Chef's knife with a long, wide blade suitable for everything from chopping vegetables to slicing and shredding meat.

Chef's knife: Blade length 20 cm, total length 33 cm, blade width 4.5 cm
The security lock on the sheath keeps the knife safely tucked away, ready to be store in your kitchen drawer. Press the button to open the lock, keep the button pushed down as you slide the knife out. Do not press the button when you place the knife back into the sheath.
The sheath should be cleaned on a regular basis, and this is done easily by loosening the sheath's end, knocking it gently against a flat, clean surface and disposing of any metal scraps that may fall come out. The end is then pushed back into place and the sheath is ready to be used again.
