- Create lovely flower arrangements
- Use flowers, twigs, and branches
- Choose between 2 sizes
The Flower fakir ”Kenzan” is a Japanese invention that helps you to create airy, easy, and unique flower arrangements with only the help of a few flowers, twigs, and branches. You will guaranteed achieve a cool effect, and an impressive flower arrangement.
Here is what you do
It is very easy to create a lovely flower arrangement with the help of the flower fakir. Pick out a couple of flowers, twigs, and thin branches from the garden, or a florist’s shop. Stick the flowers and the twigs onto the sharp pegs, then place the whole arrangement in a nice bowl, or on a saucer with water.
The flower fakir is available in two different dimensions, Ø3,4 cmandØ7 cm. If you want to make a bigger arrangement, we recommend the larger variant (Ø7 cm). For smaller flower arrangements, use the smaller variant (Ø3,4 cm). You can also combine the two different sizes and place two different flower arrangements next to each other.
Food for thought
Do not use too many, or too heavy, flowers as that will make the flower fakir tilt to one side. Make sure that your flowers are not too far apart from each other, and do not use flowers with very thin stems that cannot get a good grip on the pegs.
The flower fakir, or Kenzan as it is originally called in Japanese, has been used for over 100 years in Japan to create unique flower arrangements. The flower fakir from Hanataba has a detachable rubber cover that makes it lie firmly.
